Historical elegance awaits you at our national and state register 1700’s home which sits on top a knoll on five pastoral acres in the quaint village of Penn Yan, N.Y. The 200 plus year old original homestead blends Federal and Greek revival architecture. The Wagener Estate Bed and Breakfast offers vacation lodging and is located in the heart of the beautiful Fingers Lakes Region and New York wine country.

We are directly on the Keuka Lake Wine Trail, and within 4 miles of Seneca Lake and the Seneca Lake Wine Trail and its countless wineries. Our estate is close to Keuka College, Hobart & William Smith Colleges centrally located between New York City and Niagara Falls.

For those travelers wishing to fly in we are within an easy drive of Rochester International, Syracuse Hancock, Tompkins-Ithaca, and Elmira-Corning Regional Airports.

Guests driving to our estate will be treated to awesome Finger Lakes views and beautiful rural landscapes.

During your stay relax in a hammock under our majestic white pines, read a book on our shaded veranda, or rest in an Adirondack chair in our small orchard which includes Wagener Apple trees developed over 200 years ago by Abraham Wagener, the founder of Penn Yan.

Beyond enjoying the natural pristine beauty of the Finger Lakes other activities and attractions include shopping, wine tasting, hiking, biking, golf, all season lake activities, antiquing, and unique dining experiences. We are near a number of state parks some which include waterfalls. The area abounds with farmers markets and a wide variety of Amish and Mennonite shops. We are a short distance from the Windmill Farm and Craft Market, The New York State Wine and Culinary Center, Sonnenberg Gardens, and the Corning Museum of Glass. For the racing enthusiast we are near Watkins Glen which hosts annual NASCAR and Grand Prix events.

Wagener Estate Bed and Breakfast is directly across from the Keuka Outlet Trail maintained for hiking and biking and within walking distance to public lakeside parks, swimming beaches, and downtown restaurants and shops. Be sure to bring your hiking shoes, bikes, and kayaks.
